The NetAcquire SIO offers a new level of
price-performance in network-based
Compact Form-Factor Option
serial/PCM/telemetry gateway products. It combines the power of intelligent
serial input/output hardware with the flexibility of high-speed network communications
technology, and offers all the capabilities of the NetAcquire architecture.
NetAcquire SIO includes special extensions for telemetry applications, including NetAcquire
Decommutation.
NetAcquire serves as a low-cost communications gateway between Ethernet
networks and PCM serial devices. This allows remote network clients to send and receive
command and telemetry data directly to satellite communications equipment. NetAcquire
supports data format conversion, frame synchronization, time tagging, and header
generation.
NetAcquire’s industry-standard TCP/IP network interface
provides communication access from a wide variety of different computers and operating
systems. NetAcquire runs both standalone, and on any Ethernet network including Windows,
Novell, and TCP/IP.
NetAcquire supports advanced real-time processing extensions by
allowing local execution of user-supplied custom code. Extensions include decommutation,
command generation (telecommand), and custom data headers.
